BSA Goldstar 650: Ready to launch 15-August in India.
BSA, a legendary bike maker is ready to comeback in India with its iconic bike “BSA Goldstar 650”. BSA which is short name of “Birmingham Small Arms” Company initially started in UK for fire-arms production company later come into motorcycling industry.
BSA Goldstar is the iconic bike of BSA, earlier came with 350 cc and 500 cc model. Gold Star was mainly known for its custom design and fastest Single-Cylinder bike of its time.
BSA Goldstar 650- The Story of comeback
The legendary British company set to comeback in India on 15-August. The classic makers “Jawa” and “Yezdi” coming together to form a trigonal maker of Classic bike. They are reviving the classic legends once again in India after Jawa and Yezdi, all are set to competes the market leader Royal Enfield.
Engine of BSA Goldstar 650
BSA Goldstar 650 is a Single cylinder engine, now it became the biggest single-cylinder engine bike in India. Gold Star 650 powered with 652 cc Single-cylinder liquid cooled engine. The engine with huge stroke produced a peak power of 45 hp and a peak torque of 55 Nm. The engine is equipped with 5-speed gear box.
Design of BSA Goldstar 650
The Classic legend is coming back with the vibes of classic era. The iconic design of BSA Goldstar will remain unchanged with huge metal fuel tank and lots of chrome finish all around the bike.
The heavy body with round headlamp and a wide handlebar enough to remind the classic era. It is coming with single seat, curved fenders and dual instrument cluster with analog speedometer and lots more. Speedometer is iconic reversed moving like earlier seen in Jawa Classic.
But this is not only a classic bike but also equiped with latest features like dual channel ABS, USB charging port, and slipper clutch. A lot of information can be seen on its semi-digital instrument console.
Color and Price of BSA Goldstar
Such an iconic classic bike is coming with Red-Chrome and Silver-chrome finish. In term of price, it is launch at Rs 2.99 Lakhs.
Under this price range it seems a fair price for a Single cylinder bike.
Rival of Royal Enfield GT-650?
There is a big question marks for BSA, how it competes GT-650 even they both comes in same engine category yet have different engine performance.
Royal Enfield GT-650 is Twin-Cylinder parrel liquid cooled engine, where BSA Gold Star 650 is a Sigle Cylinder liquid cooled engine. Both seem similar in power figure but performance wise both are different.
